Working with a document containing endnote references

Post by gcam032 »

Hi guys,

I'm collaborating on a paper with a collegue who uses endnote (pc). So I have a document where he has run endnote and produced a bibliography with citations in the text. I have his bibliography in bookends now (after xml export from endnote). Is there a way to scan the document so that bookends picks up these citations?? i.e. I want to continue the paper and include my own citations from the bookends library and have it all work in harmony.

Thanks

Gareth

Hi,

No, you shouldn't scan. But you can insert temporary references of the author/date/unique ID type and (assuming the unique id and EN reference number are the same) your colleague can do the scan and pick up the references you inserted into the bibliography.
