Web of Science in 10.1.3

How do you search Web of Science? I don't see it as an option in the onlie search window. Do I have to configure something and if so what and how?

Hi,
It's just another filter, and you have to enable it in
File -> Import Filter Manager
for it to appear in the Online Search popup menu.
You can create other WOS filters that search specific databases (right now it's set to search all databases that your institution has a license for).

Hi,
I have put the tick in the import filterm manager -> Web of Science -> internet tag, left the name as is (
www.jda.his), put the access to "Web of Science", left the next few entries blank (as were), Text encoding was ANSEL and allowed for Boolean search. i know, we have IP range detection here, so I left UN/PW blank.
However, it does not connect from within online search.
Anything else to be entered?

It isn't connecting for me either. Although I can access it in my browser.
What gives?

I see the wrong filter was included in the upload. That's for importing from text files downloaded from WOS.
I'll upload the correct filter shortly. I'll include a link to it in this thread when I do.

I can log-in to the WoS through my desktop here at the university, but my question is how to do the same when using my laptop at home? I log-in through the university's library and I can conduct searches after doing so, but I can't get Bookends to connect even after logging in.

At the moment you can't unless you have a VPN account (I'm pretty sure that will work, although I haven't tried it myself). I've tried to get this information from Thomson tech support, but so far I'm not getting any response. You might write to them, too:
http://scientific.thomson.com/support/
So until they divulge this information, you'll need ip authentication (perhaps via VPN if you're at home) to access WOS.

Actually, I do have a VPN account for UW-Madison so I'll try it tonight.
