I made a suggestion a little while ago about automatic links to google books. I noticed on the google books blog that they have an API out, perhaps it may be of interest to Jon.
I would love to be able to search google books and import their references into Bookends (it would also be great to automatically provide a link to Google as they often offer a preview when Amazon doesn't)
