I cannot get Page citations to work within the reference that I put in the text (i.e. drag into Mellel from Bookends). I have moved from Endnote/Word and it was easy to add a page range to a reference, but here it seems impossible.

I have tried adding \, 177p.

After the citation (i.e. double clicking on the blue reference in Mellel) but it just causes Bookends to hang scanning the document forever. Any help appreciated as I am writing up my thesis and may have to move back to Word/Endnote if I cannot solve.

I have upgraded to the latest version of bookends and it all now seems to work exactly -- well much much better than Endnote/Word -- so I can safely buy Bookends and carry on with my Thesis!!
