concise view problem with URLs

Post by cysouw »

I have the following quirk here:

some URLs entered in the URL field result the behaviour that in the concise view everything after the URL is marked as a hyperlink (i.e. blue and underlined).

some URL that do this are the following:

http://www.aclweb.org/anthology/P/P07/P07-1083
http://tinyurl.sfx.mpg.de/22hh
http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/449665a

some URL that do *not* do this are the following:

http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s11525-007-9111-0
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/quer ... s=15359530

Anybody any idea what is going on?

Hi,

I can't reproduce this with these examples. Does this happen in the Concise for All view (or both)? Have you modified the defaults we provide?

It happens in the concise for all view only, and I have indeed slightly changed the fields from the defaults. However, after URL follow the normal Abstract, Notes, and Keywords fields, and they are affected by the 'ongoing link-format'.

Further, I have noted that the ongoing link-format vanishes when either:

- a space is present in the Notes or Abstract field (only words and carriage returns do no suffice: the space is crucial)

- at least two keywords are entered (one keywords is not enough).

kind of funny behaviour, isn't it?

Perhaps you can export a single reference that shows this behavior? I'll see if I can reproduce it with that.

Thanks,
