storing ref types outside of preferences

Post by Gerben »

I recently had a problem with the Online Search window which could not be resized anymore (the height that is). Problem solved after deleting the Bookends 10 preferences file. However, I had to recreate my custom reference types again after that. This is not the first time that happened and I know I have asked this before but would it be possible to move the custom reference types out of the preference file and give them a folder (like custom import filters)?

Thanks,
Gerben

Hi,

If you believe there is a problem with your preferences you should send them to me and I can at least see if it's something I could fix.

Hi Jon,

I'll send you the prefs next time. I tend to assume that when the problem is in the prefs nothing can be done but deleting them.

That's usually easiest, but if you have complex preference options stored I will see if I can recover the file (I can't say I will be able to, but I'll try).
