strange behaviour - crash

I write here and not to support, because there maybe something obvious I am missing/doing wrong.

I've got the latest version, and also 10.5.3 on a Macbook, late 07 version. I use BE with Mellel, current version.

Everything was working fine until this afternoon, when BE started to crash (quit automatically) repeatedly when I typed into the search box. Launching BE again, it would not open the database automatically as usual. I repaired the database, problems were found so it was rebuilt, but the problem continued with the new file. Of all the db maintenance actions, it is solved temporarily when I reindex, but crashes again after some time. I currently work on a very large text on Mellel, about 530 references.

any ideas?

This is, in fact, a support issue. Try Repairing the db. If that doesn't work, contact tech support at support@sonnysoftware.com.
