fully integrated instead of scripts
Recently I heard the third-party plugins now are allowed to integrate within word 2008 after the new patch (12.1). And Endnote is working on it. I am wondering whether or not Bookends also has the same plan. If so, it would be great. Indeed, the buttons on the tool-bar or hot-keys are really convenient.
Re: fully integrated instead of scripts
AFAIK, it's it still not possible to customize Word 2008 toolbars to add script support. If you (or anyone else) knows differently, please contact me. As for assigning keyboard shortcuts, there is a thread on this forum that discusses how to do this, and here is a link that gives details:

Re: fully integrated instead of scripts
I just tried the new patch for EndnoteX1. The only interesting thing for me is the floating bar. Although it is not able to combine with the systemic tool bar, it's much easier than clicking on the scripts. I am wondering if it's possible that Bookends also can make it?

Hi,
I saw that, too. I snooped around but was unable to find any new information in the Office 12.1.x update that would allow this. But when I do (and if anyone can help here, that would be great) I'll certainly add it.

Re: fully integrated instead of scripts
It seems that Endnote used some new plug-in SDK that is mentioned in this post: http://www.officeformac.com/blog/Word-2 ... EndNote-X1
I could not find any publicly available documentation on the API, so contacting the blog post author may be the only means of getting information for now. I also am very interested in direct integration of Bookends with Word 2008 because I am always a little paranoid about the round trip via the clipboard messing up my longer, more complex documents. Thanks!

Hi, thanks, that's useful information. I, too, can't find anything out there on this at the moment (it probably hasn't been released to the public), but I'll keep my eyes open. If you run across any more info, please contact me at support@sonnysoftware.com
