I use the U of Minnesota Twin Cities library a lot. Before, with EndNote (boo), I chose "Citation Manager" and "ISO 8859-1" from the pull-down menus on the librarie's OneSearch service (menus sketched below) to download files that were formatted in APA 5th ed. to upload into my EndNote.
Now what would I choose to save into my Bookends database? (Not super computer savvy here.)
Thanks.

Re: Downloading citations....format?
I'm guessing you'd use Citation Manager and set the encoding (in the Bookends File menu) to Western (ISO Latin 1). I'm also guessing you'd use the RIS filter in Bookends.
Give that a shot. If it doesn't work, send me the file you're trying to import and I'll take a look (support@sonnysoftware.com).

Re: Downloading citations....format?
Thanks. But, if I did it right, that didn't work.
Attached is one reference to show you what the download via Citation Manager looks like from the University of Minnesota....oops, the upload function on the forum doesn't allow the extension .end. I'll email it.
And thanks for your help!
