JSTOR and JSTOR from Browser

Post by jkdoyle »

I'm really struggling here to figure out how I can get data from JSTOR. I have a membership that allows me to access JSTOR from the Web using a password and username. How can I set up Bookends to allow me to access the articles? I keep getting "There are no matches" when I know there are. I also don't know how to use "JSTOR from browser". Can someone give me some guidance? I've searched the manual for this information but couldn't find anything.

Thanks
Jimmy

The direct JSTOR search requires ip authentication. If you connect from a university address, or have a VPN connection through your university, you should be able to connect to JSTOR.

You can access JSTOR via the Bookends browser you can search and download pdfs/attachments, but not import reference data (JSTOR lets you export the reference data to a citation manager, in which case you can import that file into Bookends -- the filter "JSTOR from browser" that will work with these files).
