Hi,
When I am working on a new bibliographic format it is helpful to see examples of what I have done. Clicking the example button shows me an example using the Journal format. However, that is the only example it ever shows. For example, if I switch to Book it does not show an example of the Book format (it keeps showing the Journal format).
Am I missing something?
Powerbook G4, 10.4.11, BEP 10.3.1
Thanks,
Mark
Examples in Biblography Formatter
Re: Examples in Biblography Formatter
Hi,
If a database is open, Bookends will use the selected entry to create the example. So you should select a Book and then create the Book format. Bookends could select this itself (if you have a book in the db), but if there were missing fields the format example would be a mess. If you select it yourself, you can control which reference Bookends uses.
Having said that, if you close your database Bookends will provide default cases for the examples.
