Unwanted substitutions

I have a large document (240 pages or so) in Mellel and a fairly large bibliography/number of citation from Bookends. In the past few weeks I've had a few very irritated incidents of unwanted substitutions. For example, without any prompting or changes to either file it will replace all of the citation that started with the author 'Tiech' with the next 'T' in my Bookends database (in this case 'Thomas). Once I discover that something has gone wrong I have go through the entire document and replace each entry with the correct citation. This has happened now for the third time and last time it took me over an hour to sort out.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Nothing comes immediately to mind. Conceivably there's some problem with the Bookends index (or it could be a problem on the Mellel end). Please rebuild the Bookends database and see if that fixes it. If not, please contact me directly for tech support.

Well, it happened again. Should I unscan a document before each scan? (I may also put this on the Mellel forum, but it seems like a Bookends thing).
