Short name/abbreviation in cite?

Post by Dixiedog »

I use citation format with author-date (e.g., "(Jones,1998)"). Some "authors" are organizational names such as "The Most Esteemed Commission for the Study of Extrasensory Information" or some such. It would be nice if the in-text citation could be "(MECSE, 1998)" in such a case, but with the bibliography listing spell out the full "author" name. I don't see how to do this, but suspect that it is possible.???

Hi,

No, it's not possible. You can edit the final citation after it's created, of course, but if you rescan you'll need to do that again.
