I use abstracts quite a lot, frequently cut-and-pasting abstracts in from other sources. There are a couple of things which would make it easier for me:

1) Normal navigation to beginning and end of line. For some reason neither <home> nor <end> work, neither does Ctrl-A and Ctrl-E. This makes tidying up linebreaks a PITA

2) A "Save" button. In the full abstract window hitting "Done" (rather than "Cancel") gives prompt about whether you want to save or not. It would be much easier to have "Cancel" and "Save" as the options on the full abstract window.

Try Command-Up/Down Arrow and Right/Left Arrow for some shortcut cursor movement commands.

That's how it used to be. One user complained bitterly because he would make changes an inadvertently hit Enter (I think he had a PowerBook or something with a cramped keyboard), saving the changes when he didn't want to. So I added this failsafe. Personally, I agree with you, but I responded to his request because it was "safer" and no one else seemed to care (except you, now). What do others think?

Oh – that is perfect!!

That's how it used to be. One user complained bitterly because he would make changes an inadvertently hit Enter ..., saving the changes when he didn't want to. So I added this failsafe.

Huh? I don't see how that would happen, if I hit "Enter" I just get a line break within the abstract itself. I can't get to the "Done" button without mousing to it, is there a keyboard way?

I suspect you hit Return. You must press Enter (it's a separate key with a separate key value).

Sweet! If I hit Ctrl-Return Return I get to save my changes without needing to mouse.
