Grammarian Pro and Bookends

I use Grammarian Pro X, which is a grammar checker-dictionary-thesaurus. It is an menu utility that typically has is icon on the right side of the menu bar (in the input menu). However, in Bookends (and only in Bookends), the Grammarian menu icon moves between the application and the file menu when I select from the File menu. Not a big problem, but I wonder why this is. Any ideas?
