As I am entering ISBN numbers, it seems there is a difference. LOC has strictly numbers. But when I enter by hand a book that I have read, then it has dashes.

What is the proper way to enter the ISBN in Bookends? Or is there a proper way?

I think both are acceptable, but perhaps others more knowledgable than I will step in and tell us.
