Passing the 'editor' field to an MLA Citation

Post by eternal_student »

This is a newbie question, but I'd be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. I'm using Bookends with Mellel and have got things set up to my satisfaction so that after a scan, citations are appearing as I want. I'm using Chicago 15th A for the bibliography, with MLA Citations selected as a custom citation format. This is giving me citations in the correct form where there is an author involved, but not where there is an editor, i.e.

{Conrad, 1994, The Cambridge edition of the works of Joseph Conrad@3} ===> (Conrad, 3)

but

{Sherry, 1973, Conrad: the Critical Heritage@54, 61} ===> (54, 61)

What I want in the case of the second item is to get (Sherry, 54, 61). What changes to I need to make to achieve this?

Hi,

In the citation format for an edited book, change "a" (author) to "e" (editor).
