Different output in footnote and bibliography

Is it possible when creating an output style to have different output specified for footnote text and bibliography text? Example:

Footnote:

Bob Smith, A Book About Some Stuff (New York: Super Publisher, 2009): 123.

Bibliography:

Smith, Bob. A Book About Some Stuff. New York: Super Publisher. 2009.

This is a pretty basic requirement of several citation styles in the humanities (e.g. Chicago and Turabian). I have used Biblioscape and Reference Manager extensively in the past and know that it is possible with both of them. (Zotero does this as well.) So, I'm guessing it's possible in Bookends but I'm just not finding it. Any assistance is much appreciated.

Nevermind. I figured it out. There's a drop down under "citation options," "custom citation format." I was confused because the other apps I've used combine footnote and bibliography formatting options under the same style. In Bookends, it appears that to do what I want, one would have to create two styles, one for bibliography and one for footnote, and then refer to the footnote style under "custom citation format." It's a little bit round-about. But I can also see the long-term flexibility that it allows--i.e. one could mix and match footnote and bibliography output styles (Turabian footnotes with Chicago bibliography, for example). Why you would do that, I don't know. But having the option is not bad.
