Bookends Update Crash (Snow Leopard)

After updating to Snow Leopard yesterday, Bookends seems to work flawlessly -- thanks Jon for making sure the software was ready to go from day one.
There are only two very minor problems that I have encountered.
1. The first time I launched Bookends from my dock, the icon bounced for a bit and the program immediately shut down. I tried again, and it opened with no problem. Seems people have had experiences similar to this with programs other than Bookends as well. Not sure what is different about the first time Snow Leopard encounters an application.
2. When manually checking for updates, I get the message: "Update Error! An error occurred in retrieving update information. Please try again later." Clicking on 'Cancel Update' occasionally causes the application to quit unexpectedly. Although, I've just now tried to replicate this problem and while I still get the Update error, the program no longer crashes. Not sure if this is Snow Leopard related or not.
Regardless, the important stuff is all fully-functional and works great. Thanks for a great product.
