Word 2008 and font changes

Hi
I am using Word 2008 on a MacBook with SnowLeopard 10.6.1. and I am having some trouble after scanning the document with BE. One example: The style of a paragraph with a couple of citations in it is Arial size 11. After I have scanned the word doc the text is still in Arial 11 but the font of the intext citations has changed to Times New Roman size 12. I can't explain that. I read a couple of discussions about that problem on the forum and BE is saying that the style sheet need to be kept in mind. Well, first of all, there is no such term as a style sheet in word 2008 (I at least couldn't find one), and second if BE means the word setting "current style of the text", I have formatted the text with the appropriate style (style: Normal; font Arial size 11) prior to the BE scan. But after the scan the citation will be in the different format but is still called style "normal". What is BE actually doing here? I have wasted more than 2 hours on finding a solution, but instead of BE just taking the style and font from the text before and after the intext citation it changes it. Furthermore, the bib. is also in TNR size 12 for style Normal, although there is no style Normal with TNR size 12 in the list of the available styles.
Why is BE making it sometimes sooo complicated?
