A clean install of OSX was required on my system; I no longer have access to BE 7 version to use to export my libraries into BE 8 - suggestions?

I'm glad you found an old copy, but as a general note to anyone else in this situation: we have a copy of Bookends 7.7.5 on our server. If anyone needs it, just write to me and I'll send you the URL so you can download it.

BE 7.7.5 needed to transform databases

Post by maggus031 »

Hi Jon,

In followed the link to provide a version of BE 7 to be able to export the old databases in order to open them in BE 9.
However, it is broken!
Cold you rebuild it or provide a new link for tat pupose?

Markus

NB: wouldn't it be possible to creata script/routine/programme, which is integrated into BE8/9 to do this without need of BE7?

Yes, I tidied things up a bit and there is a new link:

No, there is no simple script (or I would have provided it). But it's only a one-time conversion.
