Key assignment

I am wondeirng if there is a way to change the assigned hot key sequences ... for example change the sequence for Copy Selected Citations from command+Y to command+C ?

No, there isn't (unless you can do this in OS X -- hm, I think you can for any application, so probably). But I certainly wouldn't mess around with Command-C -- it's one of the fundamental Command key combinations that is built into the OS.
