Accented characters...

Hi
I'm having troubles importing references with accented characters from Google Scholar and from MLA RIS files. From Scholar: no differences if I import citations from BE online search or from the RIS file generated online from the web. Also RIS files from Modern Language Association have the same problem. Tried to change the "import text encoding" but nothing happened.
Can you help me?
Thanks

Make sure you are using Bookends 10.6.1. A fix was introduced in the last update or two because of encoding changes made by Google Scholar.

I'm using this version...and the problem occurs also with RIS files from MLA database...

I'd download it again in any case (the fix for GS was released in a silent update, and is scheduled for formal release in Bookends 10.6.2). If it still doesn't work, contact me off-forum with the Google Search to do. Bookends will work with GS correctly (or if you've found a bug, I'll fix it). As for MLA RIS, it will certainly be an encoding issue, and you'll have to see what encoding MLA is using.

Followup -- the fix for the changes at Google Scholar did not make it in the silent update (sorry for the confusion). But they will appear in the next Bookends update.
