Formatting code displayed instead of actual formatting

I have set my display pane (the viewing area below the list) to formatted. Instead of seeing the reference with the actual formatting like this:

Abildgaard, Jørgine. Øvelser Til Kvindegymnastik. 1929.

I see the reference with formatting code:

Abildgaard, Jørgine. \emph{Øvelser Til Kvindegymnastik}. 1929.

I guess this is somehow related to the fact that I played around with some Bibtex stuff, but I am at a loss how to get things back to normal. Any help is appreciated!

Simple:

Biblio -> Bibliography Formatter -> Styled Text (instead of BibTeX)

Then click Set As Default.
