program crashes on Snow leopard 10.6.2

My version 11 crashes quite frequently when I use it with the opening of word. Sometimes with a database error, then gets totally stuck!

Did you check out our FAQ (Help menu)? Try rebuilding your database. If that doesn't help, you should contact tech support.

Yes, I did rebuild the database. But every time when I do it, I always get "Nil Object Error.' Sometimes it just stuck, and I have to force quit the program!
