How to force an arbitrary text into a bibliography format

Hi -

I have the feeling I am missing something basic here. I have been through the User Guide but I think I am probably using the wrong words to search for what it is I am trying to do.

What I need to do is include in my bibliography some arbitrary text. In this example I have my entry showing up in my bibliography like this:

AirFoil-Aviation
1998 1/4 Scale Radio Controlled Gas Powered Parachute. AirFoil-Aviation, http://www.airfoilaviation.com/1-4scale.html

But within this entry I need to include the text "Electronic document" and "accessed (date)"

AirFoil-Aviation
1998 1/4 Scale Radio Controlled Gas Powered Parachute. AirFoil-Aviation. Electronic document http://www.airfoilaviation.com/1-4scale.html accessed Feb 17, 1996

I have been looking at altering Primary Order, but to no avail. Any ideas on what I need to do?

Thanks in advance.

Joe

Hi,

There are multiple ways to do that, each with their advantages and disadvantages. What you're looking for is usually referred to (by me) as quoted text or literal text. Here are three variations for the primary order field for -- volume followed by "Page: " followed by the page number.

v$ Page: $p -- most basic, Bookends uses spaces before and after to determine if it is output or not if the following field is empty

v`Page: `p -- the backquote is a "force quote", and anything inside will always be output

v~ Page: ~p -- the tilde is the "binding quote", which can be used to tell Bookends to not output it if the preceding field is empty

If you're not sure which to use after looking at the User Guide, start with the $ delimiter.

Thank you!

This seemed to work for me:

a
∆d t. u.~ Electronic document, ~z,~ accessed ~u1~, ~u4
