Now I'm investigating Bookends to introduce my system. I usually use sente.
Then, I cannot find the way to change the reference numbers in the list.
I'd like to change the numbers to follow the sort, for example published date or author's names because when I make the proposals I should prepare the publication list of mine. In that time, numbering of the list in bibliography should follow publication date.
Subjected bibliography is one way, however, I prefer the numbered list, sorted by everything I want way.
Is there any good solution or way of operation, please teach me.

Bookends's rescan feature is very attractive for me, and the RTF file recognition is excellent.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want. If you mean you want the bibliography numbered and sorted by author, that's a setting in the format. If you mean you want it numbered and sorted by date, there's no automatic option for that. You could, however, do this: (1) scan -> the references are now in the hits list, (2) Hits -> Sort (by date), (3) use Biblio => Bibliography Formatter to create the bibliography and send to the Bibliography Window (sorting should be turned off in the format, so the current order-by-date is used to create the bib), (4) copy the bibliography, which is ordered by date, and paste into your scanned document.

If I've misunderstood you, please post an example of what you're looking for.

You understand what I said.
In my situation,

The result of this bibliography indicates not sorted by date but it sorted by reference number only. Not change!
The every other sorting way results in always numbered as reference number.
I'd like to reflect the sorting result in list window and numbers in bibliography window.
I'm not using scan command, so I use to attach the hit mark to all. And I cannot find the way to turn off the sorting option in format menu. Where can I change?
Please tell me the more finely way to do that.

The sort option is the format window, Bibliography Options tab. Uncheck the box labeled "Alphabetize references".
