'override proxy setting' doesn't work with Bookends browser

I am wondering why 'override system proxy setting' doesn't work with the bookends browser? Every time I have to change safari proxy setting for the purpose.
If 'override system proxy setting' can independently work with the bookends browser, that would be really handy!

I'll look into it, but I don't think that's possible. Bookends Browser uses WebKit, which uses the proxy settings in system preferences.
