In text scan error

Post by pgseye »

Hi,

I'm getting some strange behaviour when scanning a document. I've inserted cross-references in the text to figures and tables and I've noticed that if the cross-ref is contained within brackets, Bookends leaves it alone. However, if my text goes something lie: ' Figure 3.10 shows...' Bookends replaces the cross-ref with 'Error! Reference source not found.' at that point in the text after scanning. It'd be nice not to have to bracket every cross-ref, then scan, then unbracket. Any way around this.

Thanks.

This is Word? Please contact tech support with a small example that I can scan.

P.S. And tell me what happens to your doc if you just save it as RTF and then open it again in your word processor.
