No Italics

Got a bit of a problem. Whenever I export a bibliography from a hit or run a scan from Mellel and create a new bibliography that way, the italics go missing from the finished product. It used to be they would preview fine in Bookends but then I did the View Selected Formatted and now they don't even preview correctly. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions would be great as I'm getting close to the due date for these projects.

First, make sure that format is set to output italics for the field in question. If it is, then in Mellel make sure that font has an italic face (check with Font Book). If neither of these shed light on the problem, email me directly with the format you are using and tell me what you see as incorrect.
