MARC21 problems (correct allocation of tags to fields)

Hi!

I´m new to bookends and to reference management systems in general. I already managed to add two new databases to the online search using the reference filter manager: RILM and BMS. I can search for files and import matching references.
But both for references found via RILM and references found via BMS the allocation of tags to fields does not work correctly: The MARC tag for abstracts is "520a" for both RILM and BMS, but after importing a reference the abstract will be found in the field "Address". Sometimes also the language of a text appears in that field. The "Abstract" field will be left empty.
Also the display of the German letters "ä", "ö" and "ü" does not work. Searching BMS, they are left out in the MARC Record, searching RILM, they are replaced by the letters "a", "o" or "u" in the MARC Record. Is there a way for me to control the display of these letters or is it up to the databases themselves?

Kind regards,
Thorsten

Please contact tech support for help with your filter. When you do, attach a zipped copy of the filter you created.
