German umlauts damaged after RIS import

Hello guys!

I've already wrote the tech support (just about a few minutes ago) but since i don't know how long a answer will take i want to ask you too!
This is my problem:

When i import RIS references the German umlauts (ä, ö, ü, ß) are damaged!!
I think or to be more precisely, i know that the RIS files are okay since the program "Mendeley Desktop" imports it without this issue.

So what can i do?!
Anybody got a solution for me?!

Thanks in advance!
Björn

EDIT
By the way, when i import some references from amazon.de the umlauts are NOT damaged...
(I don't know if this remark is imported or helpful)

I haven't received your tech support request yet. Make sure Bookends knows what the encoding is for the imported text (I'm guessing it's UTF-8 in your case). Tell Bookends in the File -> Import Text Encoding menu. Then import. If you still have problems, please follow this up off-forum with tech support.
