Hi

Does anyone know if I can open a refernce in a particular static group, then use the forwards/backwards arrows to scroll through adjacent open references in that group? When I click on the arrows it seems to take me to the next ref. no. and not to the adjacent reference in the group I'm viewing.

thanks all

If you click on a static group, the references are listed on the right. Move the focus to the list of references (tab, for example, or click on it), then use the up/down arrows on your keyboard to move between them.

OK, yes I know how to do that.

I mean when the reference is open there are two left right arrows under the Ref # and above the main-notes-attachment. I want to scroll through adjacent references in a particular static group, but instead pressing these arrows takes me to the next reference #. Is there anyway to scroll through open references in a particular static group?

thanks

Sorry, answered the wrong question. No, you can't do that, but there's a caveat. The main arrows walk you through the references as numbered in the database (1 through n). They know nothing about groups. The Hits List arrows, however, move you through the hits. So if you make the references in the static group hits, those arrows in the reference window will move you through them.

Making them is easy, and there are several ways to do it. Here is one. Click on the static group. Move the focus to the list. Clear the Hits List if there are currently hits (Option-Shift-Command-H). Right-lick on the list and select Mark All. Now use the Hits List arrows to move between them.

This is going to become moot in a future upgrade, when the reference window will be integrated with the List View window.
