Hi,
This is more a PubMed problem, but maybe somebody here in the forum can explain me, what's going on. I have encountered now for several times a strange behavior when I attach a pdf using autocomplete. The thing is, when I copy a part of the title (e.g. "MecA, an adaptor protein") into the title field and to a PubMed search, I get none results. If I put the same words into the all text field, I get about 10 hits including the right one. I then tested the same thing directly on the PubMed webpage. An advanced search for "MecA, an adaptor protein[Title]" returns nothing, whereas a simple search gives me again the 10 hits. So it's a PubMed issue, I can't search for the Title... Anyone any idea?
Thanks,
tom

Re: attach file ... and autocomplete - PubMed
Hi,
All I can suggest is that you contact PubMed support for help/advice. Bookends just feeds the search query to PubMed, and of course it's their search engine that does the search. It's possible it's a bug on their end, or a limitation in the way titles are indexed, I can't say.
