I've just noticed that the formatting of my references in the "Formatted" pane has changed from something like this:
Barzun, Jacques. The Culture We Deserve: A Critique of Disenlightenment. Wesleyan, 1989. (but in Times)
to:
Barzun, Jacques.\emph{ The Culture We Deserve: A Critique of Disenlightenment}. Wesleyan, 1989. (with an \emph tag and braces and now in Helvetica)
Has something changed in one of the recent updates? I haven't messed with any of the Bookends preferences. I'm running Bookends 11.1.7 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I can't think of anything I've done differently other than increase my use of LaTeX, but don't see how that would change anything.
I'm thinking this is more of a usage error than a support problem. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
Christopher
\emph tags have suddenly appeared
Re: \emph tags have suddenly appeared
You probably changed a setting to be compatible with LaTeX/BibTeX. \emph is TeX markup for italics. Go to Biblio -> Bibliography Formatter and change the output style from BibTeX to Styled Text.

Yes, that was it. Thank you, Jon. I remember now experimenting with exporting some references to BibTex, but didn't realize that changing that setting for the export would stick. I've got it back to the way I'm used to now.
