Duplicate field entries when importing COinS

Hi,

Importing an item from a COinS-enabled site with the most recent version of Bookends results in duplicate "author" and "journal" entries, e.g.:

Author:
King, Elaine
King, Elaine

Journal:
Music Spectrum
Music Spectrum

Any ideas why this may happen? Could it be related with the "normalize and reindex" prompt I get when I verify my database (and about which I have submitted a separate post on this forum)? Or is it a BE bug?

Third option -- there are two copies of that reference embedded in the HTML page. When things don't work as they should, please contact tech support directly, the forum is not for tech support

For now, please look at the source for that web page and see if there are two copies of the reference. If you don't see that, contact me directly with the URL and I'll take a look.

Indeed, assuming I'm reading the source code correctly, there are duplicate entries for the aforementioned fields. Sorry for the false alarm!
