Option-drag Font Issue

Post by tedg »

I am option-dragging from the citation’s ‘Copy Citation’ icon label to place the full citation in a document (in this case, a Tinderbox text window).

The citation is nicely formatted, excepting one thing. I have selected ‘Styled Text’ in the bibliography formatter window. My problem is that Bookends’ interpretation of styled text means that the default font is used. I would rather it picked up the default font of the document. This I can do by selecting something other than ‘Styled Text,’ but then I lose the italics.

Is there a trick to keeping italics, but picking up the default text? Failing that, is there a well accepted style that does not use italics (or any other styled text)?

You can have styles or plain text. Once you have styles (e.g. italics) you get everything, including font.

You can change the default bibliography font in Bookends to match whatever you are using in Tinderbox.

And as for formats without styled text, there are many (and of course you could edit any format we have and remove the italics).
