Deprecation of CarbonCore in Mountain Lion

Hi,

Unsurprisingly, it appears that with Mountain Lion, Apple will be advancing its gradual deprecation of the Carbon frameworks. I was reading today that CarbonCore will be axed (http://bit.ly/zABQm3).

Of course ML is only a prerelease build at this point. But should we worry about any deep architectural challenges in keeping Bookends compatible with the final release?

Thank you.

The article only talks about X11. And remember, deprecate does not mean discontinue. There are thousands of deprecated APIs in Lion, many dating back to 1984. But as for your question, we'll just have to see, each OS update brings its own issues. Of course we're not standing still.

Thanks, Jon. Given your update release rate and response times, you'd be the last one in the industry to be culpable for standing still :-)
