I have an author with III in the name, but even though I have author format set to appear as entered, it appears as Iii. I also tried following the author name with a comma, but it still appears the same way. This is the latest version of Bookends in Lion, using SBL.

In the format, tell Bookends to output the names as entered (I suppose you have it set to Normal case).

Thanks, Jon. I thought I had that set for author, editor, and title in the format. Looking again, I failed to change the "type" of citation in the "Formats Manager." Now I have gone through the various types available and set them all to "as entered."
