Using multiple libraries

Post by Blot »

Hi

I use two different libraries for storing my references. Can I create citation objects from both of them in Mellel then generate two separate bibliographies once I've finished? I use one library for books, texts and the other for films, so I'd like to generate a separate bibliography and filmography.

thanks

No, only one library can be used to scan. But you can generate two different bibliographies -- use Subject Bibliography when you scan. You can create separate bibliographies by Type (which would work in your case I think). If that's not exactly what you want, you can put the cited refs in separate groups (smart or static) and create bibliographies of each group. Please see the User Guide (Help menu) for more details about subject bibliographies.
