How is the compatibility status of the latest relaese of Bookends with Mountain Lion? In roaringapps.com it states uncertain.

I haven't run into any problems so far with the Mountain Lion GM release.

Hi Jon

I have a major problem in Mountain Lion. Bookends hangs every few moments,, usually after I have clicked in a text area (empty or not).

If I wait until the hang clears (usually about a minute) and am able to copy a citation into Mellel, the Live Bibliography no longer functions correctly. I have tried reverting to the previous version of Bookends, but the problems continue. This may be a problem of Mellel's in Mountain Lion, although it has been functioning flawlessly so far.

If the Bookends hang does not clear and I Force Quit, then on re=starting I get an error message saying there is another copy of Bookends running. There is no other copy running (confirmed by Activity Monitor).

Unless there is anything obvious I am not doing, I will transfer to a Lion machine, which I know works fine.

There is no problem with Mountain Lion. There is known issue that dragging and dropping of a reference to Mellel with Live Bibliography is enabled will cause a delay (so don't do that, use Command-Y). If that doesn't fix this problem, please contact tech support and we'll see what's up.

I've stumpled upon a problem. BE sometimes seem to create two windows, of which one is greyed out and have a spinning wheel:





I've designated BE to open in Desktop 2 recently, so it might be something conflicting there. It just happens, or rather, so far I haven't come across a thing that I do every time before it happens. If I choose the greyed window I'm unable to close it.

Another thing: I often have problems with GUI errors upon resizing:



Some times I use HyperDock's resizing features, but as I know diddle about coding it could be related to something general. Also the relational size between the different frames change. Though it also happened in Lion, I'd hoped it wouldn't in Mountain Lion.

Please contact support for the first issue. As for the second, I don't know how HyperDock works, but if it sounds like whatever it does, Bookends isn't being told the window resized, and therefore doesn't adjust the controls in the window accordingly.

Hi Jon,

I've sent you a support mail regarding the first issue. With respect to the second issue, I still have problems resizing even though I use the window Zoom button only: http://cl.ly/IktD - As you can see, the notes pane are missing, as are the buttons in the lower right corner. This is still with HyperDock running but I don't have problems in any other applications using HyperDock to resize those windows.

I haven't had any problems, and no one else is reporting any, so it's likely to be something local. Try turning HyperDock off, reboot, and see what happens.
