Does Bookends also function as library catalog?

I'm going to purchase Bookends, but I'm thinking of buying additional software like Book Collector to catalog my personal library of books.
Can Bookends do the same thing for me?

Yes and no. Bookends an certainly hold a catalog of books. But it doesn't have an ISBN reader (like Delicious Library, Bookpedia, Library, and lots of other library cataloging apps). Also, it doesn't have specialized features like checkout.

I use Delicious Library to catalog books. It imports into BE easily.
