Auto-replacement of journal abbreviations on import?

Post by Enkidum »

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a way to set up Bookends, possibly using the Journal Glossary, to auto-replace journal abbreviations with full titles on import of reference data from a text file or a DOI. Of course I can manually search and replace after the fact, but I'm just wondering if the one-step capability exists. Searched in the user guide, couldn't find anything obvious, sorry if this is there already.

No, Bookends won't do that. But that's the point of journal glossaries -- you can enter the journal name in several ways and Bookends will pick the one you want when creating the final formatted reference.
