I know that this is probably of no practical import, but is Bookends Cocoa still using RealBASIC in some way? Inside the Bookends bundle, I see these libraries:
V4RB.rbx_0.dylib
RBAddressBook.rbx_0.dylib
RBAppearancePak.rbx_0.dylib
RBCrypto.rbx_0.dylib
rbframework.dylib
RBGUIKit.rbx_0.dylib
RBHTMLViewer.rbx_0.dylib
RBInternetEncodings.rbx_0.dylib
RBQT.rbx_0.dylib
RBRegEx.rbx_0.dylib
RBShell.rbx_0.dylib
RBXML.rbx_0.dylib
