I’m working with a publisher who requires some titles (journal articles not in English) to be in Sentence Case in the bibliography. OK.
But they also require that journal titles be abbreviated and in ALLCAPS.
For example:

Chansonnier, D., (1999) ‘La chanson d’autrui’, MH 66, 44-77.

It seems to me that I’ll just have to go through the bibliography once generated and correct by hand, since there’s only one setting for all titles. Or is there a way to get Bookends to produce the desired result?

Are you using a journal glossary? If so, if the journal name is

Modern History

and the abbreviation is

MH

you can have Bookends use one or the other depending on the format (j = abbrev form, f = full form).

I wasn't using a journal glossary but I see now that I should have been.

In this case MH is Museum Helveticum, which is entirely beside the point aside from the fact that I see I'll have to roll my own glossary...

I didn't think it was "Modern History". Just the first thing that came to mind. :-)
