I would like to reference my Kindle for Mac library in Bookends 12.0.2 and wonder if there is any way that this can be done withour my having to do an internet search in Amazon, using the Bookends search facility, and import them individually? Thanks for any help.

You mean you want Bookends to catalog your ebooks? You'd have to do that individually (you add the isbns to an otherwise empty reference and then do Autofill From Internet if you like). But Bookends isn't really intended for collating personal collections (libraries). There are lots of other apps designed especially for that (Delicious Library 2, Bookpedia, and many others).

Thank you Jon, that helps a lot. I have a lot of theological books on Kindle for Mac and some pdf's which I would like to have referenced in Bookends as they are directly pertinent to my research for a book I am writing and in many cases I need to transmit to other researchers details of books and papers I have on Kindle—I find Bookends a great vehicle fort creating bibliographies for this purpose. I will do is as you suggest and where I can go down the ISBN/Autofill route. Cheers.
