Hello all,
If this is covered in the Tutorial/User Manual - then I missed it
In the past, I scanned different chapters of the same book - i.e. I have several pdf's, which are all of the same "source".
In setting up my library, I dragged and dropped all my files into BE12.
I now have several "empty" references, with the the individual chapter "scans" attached to each individual reference. Is there a simple way to select all the separate references, and "merge" them, as it were - to thereby include all the pdf attachments, and have only 1 primary citation - and then delete the rest?
Complete newbie question this - but I presume it would be of interest to others too(??)...
Easiest way to combine attachments/references?
Re: Easiest way to combine attachments/references?
Not quite automatic, but you can select two references and then do a Refs -> Compare References. By clicking on the blue symbol next to Attachments you'll open a window and can copy/paste the attachment name(s) from one to the other. Repeat as needed. Then delete the refs you don't want.

Thanks Jon - that sounds like it shouldn't be too cumbersome!
