Losing italics after scan

Am suddenly losing italics (for book titles etc.) when I scan. The formats manager still shows italicised elements, but when I scan into Mellel, I lose all italicisations. Is there anything I can do to rectify this?

Also, the 'example' in formats manager is not showing italics either.

Make sure that the font in the formats Order field and the font in the reference itself has an italic face. Don't use Geneva or Lucida Grande, which don't. In Cocoa only fonts with the corresponding face will be shown in italic or bold.

By 'formats order field' you are referring to the box that says 'primary order' and 'secondary order', right? I have changed the fonts to Arial, NTR etc, with the italics showing, and it is still scanning without the italics.

Please make sure that Biblio -> Bibliography Formatter is set to output Styled Text.

Jon and Company,

I am also having same problem. Italics is set for the format but it does not show in the example reference, in the main database, nor in bibliographic output.

I am using only Ariel or Helvetica fonts and have the output set to Styled Text.

Running OS 10.8.5 and BE 12.0.6.

Thanks in advance....Eddie

Try another format. If you still have this problem, you should contact tech support.
