Hi, I am running Bookends 12.0.6 with Mellel 3.2.6 under OS 10.9 and live bibliography does not work (it scans when I first check it, but then inserts unformatted references thereafter).

Yes, it appears so. I think I know what the problem is, but it make take a bit to fix it.
