Bought Bookends from the App Store

I made the mistake of buying Bookends from the App Store, but I would like to update to the latest build as quickly as possible. I downloaded the latest version from Sonnysoftware, and now I'm back in demo mode. Is there anyway to fix this?


EDITED: Bookends is not broken. I accidentally had Live Bibliography unchecked, somehow?
POST EDIT: Yes, it is broken. Unchecking Live Bibliography, then Rechecking forces a rescan, and fixes the formatting issue.

If you buy from the MAS you must get all updates from the MAS -- we don't even know who are customers are that bought the MAS version (Apple does not share that information). As pointed out in our FAQ, there are advantages and disadvantages in obtaining Bookends from there. We'll be submitting 12.0.6 shortly.

As far as Live Bibliography with Mellel, it is broken in 12.0.6. We're working on it, but it will take some time.

So my best bet would be to get a refund from the MAS and purchase directly from you? That'll be a pain.

Perhaps you could, but I wouldn't bother. You'll get Bookends updates from the MAS (and it is convenient), they'll just be later than you'd get them from us.

Ok, MAS is going to give me a refund. Not only do I want quicker updates, but I also just purchased Mellel and would like the combo price.
